DIVING ACTIVIES

DAILY MORNING DIVES
Drift dives at two of the “outside” reefs. The typical depth is 50 ft and there can be strong current at times. The reefs are home to a large variety of marine life including barracuda, parrotfish, sea turtles, southern stingrays and nurse sharks.

DAILY AFTERNOON DIVES
The first dive of the afternoon is to the world famous MUSA or underwater museum. The second dive is on the nearby Manchones reef. Both of the dives are great for beginners as the depth is only 30 ft and there is typically little to no current.

WRECK DIVE ON FRIDAYS
There are two sunken mine sweepers in Cancun, the C55 and the C58. Typically the dive to the wrecks are on Fridays. The wrecks are both around 80 ft deep and you can see large species including eagle rays and tuna. The second dive is at one of the “outside” reefs.

NIGHT DIVE
Enter the water right before sunset and dive and witness the underwater environment getting darker and species that are inactive during the day come to life. Night dives need to be scheduled in advance.

COZUMEL DIVING
Trips to Cozumel are available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Transportation, all equipment and lunch are included. Cozumel features beautiful walls of coral, lots of swim-thrus, great visibility and some high-voltage current.

CENOTE DIVING
Trips to Cenotes are available every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Cenotes feature cool, freshwater with excellent visibility. Transportation, all equipment and lunch are included. Everyone should do this dive at least once.
SEASONAL

WHALE SHARKS
Whale sharks usually arrive in late May and stay until early September. Diving with the whale sharks is illegal in Mexico, but you can snorkel with them.

BULL SHARKS
Female bull sharks can be seen in Playa del Carmen in December and January. This is a very cool dive as there can be 30 or more sharks swimming all around you.
