2019 was a very difficult year for me and I decided that I needed to make a big change if I was ever going to enjoy living again. I had just become a certified diver and knew that I wanted to live somewhere that I could dive frequently.

I went to Cozumel on a group diving trip in June 2019, but decided I didn't want to live on an island. I thought, "Why not Cancun?" even though I'd never been to Cancun. In September 2019, I visited Cancun for a week and found an Airbnb that I would rent for a couple of months until I could find a more permanent home. I returned to the States, sold my house and 99.5% of my stuff and moved to Cancun on October 8th with three suitcases. I did what many people dream about doing and I have never looked back.
